2011 Volvo V60: Another Wagon Not For America

2011 Volvo V60: Another Wagon Not For America
We’re pragmatists here during Cars.com. We assimilate which American automobile buyers have oral with their wallets as well as shunned a hire car in preference of SUVs as well as crossovers. We get it.
That doesn’t meant we don’t wish wagons, yet.
While America slept in Monday, Volvo denounced the brand new V60 sports car abroad. The association says 90% of buyers will be from Europe as well as a alternative 10% patently from points outward a U.S.
Volvo orator James Hope forked out which a V70 car sole some-more than 10,000 units in 2004. By 2009 a association sole reduction than 1,800.
That’s a little unhappy headlines for car fans who can drown their tears by browsing some-more photos of a all-new V60 next. And if they can live with the sedan, a all-new S60 will strike U.S. dealers after this summer.

Hennessey Camaro SS HPE600

Hennessey Camaro SS HPE600
Here is the latest car tuning project from Hennessey Performance based on the all new Chevy Camaro SS called the HPE600. The orange car you see here is actually the model for the HPE550 package, but we think it looks better than the maroon HPE600 pictured below. It will be available for the 2010-2011 LS3 or L99 engines and boosted with a TVS2300 Supercharger System. Hence the HPE600 name, the modified Camaro now puts down 602 hp and 807 Nm of torque. The tuners who are located in Texas, claim that the 0-60 mph time is in the mid three-second range, and it can run the quarter mile in 11 seconds. A full list of performance customizations include the new supercharger system, HPE cold air induction system, 1 7/8 inch long tube stainless steel headers, fuel injector upgrade, high flowing catalytic converters, HPE engine management calibration, and a dyno tune to get everything in sync.
Besides the engine tuning, Hennessey Performance took the Cheverolet Camaro SS above and beyond with limited edition numbered plaques for the dash and engine, a new carbon aero body kit, full coilover suspension upgrade, clutch improvements, lightweight wheels, and a custom leather interior. However, what makes these guys legit is the fact they offer a three year or 36,000 mile limited warranty on this Camaro build. Check the video after the pictures.

GWA-Tuning 2011 Mercedes E63 AMG Wagon

(Non Stop Cars) - 2011 Mercedes E63 AMG has been created by engineers Texan and station wagon body style is entering an era of rebirth.

GWA Tuning is a new name in the business, but the first project they’re presenting is a rather interesting one. It’s a full body kit for the new Mercedes E63 AMG Station Wagon, consisting of modified bumpers, spoiler lip, side skirts, carbon side vents, roof wing, huge rear diffuser and a pair of twin mufflers. The best part of it however, is the new front grille which looks really good.
The AMG load-lugger also gets a set of spiffy deep-dish alloy wheels (19-inch up front and 20-inch at the back), a suspension lowering module as well as brushed aluminum pedals with foot rest and illuminated logo door sills.

Nicely Modded Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X

It’s amazing what the right set of rims combined with a lower suspension can do to the appearance of a car. And although the owner of the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X, Ryan Gates, is actually setting the car up for track use and in particular, for the NASA TT-A class and the Street AWD class at select Redline Time Attacks, those absolutely stunning black-colored 18-inch rims could make any EVO X look totally sick.

2011 AMG Gullwing

Mercedes-Benz and its performance divisions AMG and HWA are working on a host of new sports cars with a number of prototypes already spotted testing at both the Nurburgring and America’s Death Valley. Yesterday, spy images of a new Black Series version of the facelifted SL surfaced and last month images of another prototype dubbed the SLC turned up. We now have new renderings of a third Mercedes sports car said to be in development, a gull-winged coupe based on a shortened SL platform described as a spiritual successor to the original 300 SL.

Rumored to hit the streets in 2010 or 2011, the new car will feature an upgraded version of AMG’s hand-built 6.2L V8 with power levels in excess of 600hp. The car is being developed internally by Mercedes and AMG engineers and production numbers are expected to range between 3,000 and 5,000 units per year.

Although the gull-wing doors draw obvious styling cues from the original model from the 1950s, the new car won’t be shamelessly retro. As these renderings suggest, the car will feature a sleek, aerodynamic body, circular headlights and SLR-style side vents.

2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class

2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class
The current Mercedes-Benz B-Class has little relevance to the United States market, but that will soon change as the German automaker is planning up to three B-Class variants for the U.S. market. Giving a better glimpse of that future, our spy photographers have just sent us the first interior shots of the next B-Class.
Although the current car is essentially a mini-MPV, the next-gen B-Class will likely take the form of a more conventional hatchback. The move is intended to make the B-Class more appealing to younger demographics.
The hatchback seen in our photos will likely be a part of the B-Class’ U.S. mix, but two other models are still under consideration. Mercedes is planning sedan and SUV variants of the next B-Class, giving the premium compact a broader appeal among U.S. buyers.
It remains to be seen what engines will be offered in the new B-Class but expect diesel and gas offerings, and possibly even a hybrid option. Mercedes is also working on a high-performance AMG B-Class model, which will likely feature a four-cylinder with forced induction.
On the interior photos we can clearly see that the display for the radio and navigation has moved up a bit on the dashboard as well as it seems that the gearstick for the automatic gearbox comes with a steering column gear selector rather than a gearstick in the center console. That will offer more possibilities for storage in the center console.
